Admitting that she is attracted to androgynous men, Evan Rachel Wood isn't shy of making public her admiration for "American Idol" season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert. "I probably couldn't help myself, that guyliner is so amazing," so she says of the male music performer. "But he's got an incredible voice, talent is very sexy. I love that he's so androgynous, he just doesn't care, has fun and wears whatever he wants."
In further interview with Pop Tarts, the movie beauty talks of her tendency dating older men....
The backstage press area at L.A.'s Staples Center the day of the Idols Live concert just may have been THE most chaotic setting in which I have ever conducted--or attempted to conduct--an interview. It seemed like every Hollywood media type who'd ever so much as TiVo'd half an episode of American Idol was there, all at once, all interviewing all 10 Idols at the same time. It was pitchy in that noisy room!
And of course, the room's buzz only grew buzzier when superstar Adam Lambert sashayed through the door (he and Kris Allen were the last to arrive). Everyone understandably wanted a piece of the Glamerican Idol, but luckily I got him first, before the media frenzy became too crazy.
One's a makeup-wearing, "Twilight"-loving gay man, and the other's a devoutly religious worship leader from a small town in Wisconsin. Nope, it's not the pitch for a new sitcom, but rather the reality of "American Idol" finalists Adam Lambert and Danny Gokey, currently on the road for the American Idols Live! tour.
With such a disparity between the two performers, it's not surprising that the singers' fanbases have as much in common with each other as Paula Abdul and MC Skat Kat. Sadly, instead of singing and dancing about their differences, the rival fans are screaming at each other on the Internet. And Danny Gokey thinks it's gone too far.
FOR A SONG: The first CD of songs recorded by San Diego’s Adam Lambert, On with the Show, is reportedly set for release next month. But Lambert is downplaying the significance. The songs were recorded in 2007 and 2008, well before his stardom on American Idol. Quoth Adam: “The work I did back then in no way reflects the music I am currently in the studio working on.” His post-Idol CD from 19 Entertainment and RCA, likely a better business deal, isn’t due until fall. . . Organizers of Monday night’s dinner and Jewel concert fund-raiser for Promises2Kids were hoping to sell 400 tickets. They sold 565 at $250 and $475 a ticket. But plenty of room for everybody at Joan Waitt’s lush La Jolla estate. And singer Jewel gave the guests full value. Surprise of the concert: the singer shunning even her guitar and opening with a way down-tempo, dramatic rendering of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”
Still reveling in his own “American Idol” fame, Adam Lambert told press he’s a big fan of the original Idol Kelly Clarkson, and her new album All I Ever Wanted.
Lavishing praise on the “Since You’ve Been Gone” songstress, Lambert gushed, “The album Kelly just came out with is fantastic. Great writers, great producers. She wrote a bunch of songs on there, and Katy Perry—my girl—wrote songs on there, too. It’s great.”
AMERICAN IDOL 8 season eight runner-up Adam Lambert talked to MTV News about his upcoming debut album. You can watch the quick update right here on STAGE TUBE!
The American Idols Tour is "hitting the road" this summer. The top 10 finalists, Adam Lambert, Allison Iraheta, Anoop Desai, Danny Gokey, Kris Allen, Lil Rounds, Matt Giraud, Megan Joy, Michael Sarver, and Scott MacIntyre, all are taking the stage on a 50 city tour which began July 5th....
Adam Lambert wasn't too excited when his unofficial music hit the Web last month, but now he's in control.
MTV News caught up with Lambert before the American Idols Live! tour stop in Los Angeles, and he was more than happy to share details about his upcoming debut album....
